- Soak the ground dates in milk for 8 hours or overnight in refrigerator.
- Take the soaked dates and separate it from remaining milk. Keep the separated milk aside.
- In the same pan, add ghee. Add in the cashews, almonds etc. Heat it until golden brown. Then keep aside.
- In a hot pan, add ghee. Put in the soaked ground dates and stir it until golden brown. Add more ghee if desired.
- Add the remaining milk. Keep stirring until the milk almost but not completely evaporates.
- Add in jaggery / honey / sugar if desired more sweetness. This step is totally optional as the dates are already naturally sweet.
- Add cardamom powder and stir.
- Mix in the dry fruits. Ready to serve hot.
