This a medley of vegetables, dal, chawal , and flavorful spices. Vegetables and masala are sautéed in ghee first and then washed dal chawal are added to the spicy masala and pressure cooked.

- Rinse moong dal and rice well and keep aside. Rinse all vegetables well and cut it small pieces.
- Heat the ghee in a pan on low flame. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, chopped green chilli sauté.
- Then add bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves and sauté. Add coriander seed powder, cumin seed powder and fry it well.
- Now add moong dal and rice mix it well. Add around 2 1/2 cup water. Stir well.
- Cover and cook on medium flame till it start bubbling. Now lower the flame. If the water dries up you can add more water.
- Now add all chopped vegetables, salt and goda masala or garam masala. Mix well.
- Cover and simmer till the rice and dal cooked.
- Finally garnish with chopped coriander leaves and ghee. Serve with papad, buttermilk/kadhi or pickle.
