Assemble your bao bun by starting with a smear Sriracha mayo, a few slices of cucumber, some shredded chicken, slices of radishes, peanuts and end with some coriander leaves (optional). - Prepare steamer and steam these buns in batches..and keep aside
- Spicy chicken: in a bowl add the boneless chicken pieces and add salt, pepper, ginger garlic paste and maida… mix all well.
- Deep fry these chicken pieces in batches and keep aside. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan add chopped garlic and saute then add the fried chicken, all the sauces and honey mix well… then add. Cornflour slurry and mix well… garnish spring onion greens..
- Serve bao buns along with these spicy chicken.
Drain on paper towel and sprinkle with sea salt. Cut the chicken pieces in half. Top with the fried chicken pieces. Drizzle with more coconut sriracha and top with pickled red onion and spring onion. A long time Chinese favourite, bao are steamed buns that are usually filled with succulent meat.
