  3. Prepare 150 gms spinach
  4. Take 2 greenchilli
  5. Prepare 2 garlic cloves
  6. Take 1 "ginger
  7. Take 2 tbsp. Roasted grams
  8. Make ready 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  9. Get 1/4 tsp. Asifoetida
  10. Get 1/2 tsp splited black grams (Urad dal)
  11. Prepare to taste Salt
  12. Prepare 1 tbsp Ghee
  13. Prepare 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  14. Get 1/2 tsp fruit salt
  15. Make ready 1/4 tsp. Lemon juice

The same moong dal batter can also be used to make healthy pankis and pancakes. Wash the spinach leaves and keep aside. When cooled, grind them in a blender/mixer. Take half of the idli batter in a bowl and transfer the spinach puree into the bowl, add red chilli powder and black pepper.

Instructions to make Spinach Idli:
  1. Wash Spinach and boil spinach ginger garlic cloves green chilli cumin seeds. For 5min.add salt and drain. Churn and make smooth paste.adding 1tbsp. Curd.
  2. Now mix semolina curd cup, and spinach puree. Mix well cover and leave for 5-7min.
  3. Mean while heat ghee on a pan add mustard seeds splited black grams dal roasted bangle gram asofoetida mix well and add in semolina batter. Mix properly. If need water add 1/4cup.
  4. Boil water in a steamer grease idli stand. Add 1/2tsp. Fruit salt and 4-5drops of lemon juice. Mix well. Fill idli mould cover the lid and cook for 10min.
  5. Take out from steamer let it cool and demould. Serve with coconut chutney and watermelon juice. Tasty healthy breakfast is ready to serve

Your spinach idli batter is ready. To prepare beetroot mixture Mix the idli batter & spinach puree. If using homemade batter, dont add any/much water during grinding. If using store bought batter, skim the water that floats on the top. We need a thicker than usual batter for best results.
