  12. Prepare 1/4 tsp pepper
  13. Get Oil for frying

  15. Take 1 big onion finely chopped
  16. Get 2 tbsp soy sauce
  17. Take 1/2 tsp tomato ketchup or less as u like
  18. Take 1-1/2 tbsp schezwan sauce as per taste
  19. Take 1 inch ginger finely chopped
  20. Prepare 6-7 garlic finely chopped
  21. Take 2 tbsp Oil
  22. Prepare 2 cups sona masoori rice
  23. Take 3 cups Water
  24. Take Whole garam masala spices:
  25. Make ready 5-6 cardamom
  26. Get 6-7 cloves
  27. Get 1 Stone flower
  28. Take 8-10 Peppercorn
  29. Make ready 1 tsp Shah jeera
  30. Get 1/4 tsp salt
  31. Get 1/4 cup Spring onions chopped
  32. Prepare 15 cashew nuts(optional)
Steps to make Veg Manchurian Rice(Indo-chinese recipe):
  1. Wash rice thoroughly and add the whole garam masala spices, salt and pour 3 cups of water to cook the rice.
  2. Mix all the machurian balls ingredients thoroughly and knead with little pressure so that it comes together well.
  3. Make small balls and keep it aside
  4. Heat oil in a pan to shallow fry or deep fry the manchurian balls and keep them on paper napkin.
  5. Take a pan which is big enough to mix rice in it.
  6. In the pan pour approx 2 tbsp oil
  7. Add chopped onion, ginger and garlic; after frying a little add some salt.
  8. Let it fry well till the onions turn brown.
  9. Add soy sauce, ketchup and schezwan sauce to the pan
  10. Let it cook for 2 minutes and add the manchurian balls
  11. Let the manchurian balls get mixed well with the sauces for 2-3 minutes
  12. Now add the cooked rice to it and mix well. Check for salt and add if necessary, also grind some pepper on top if u like
  13. Garnish with spring onions, roasted cashew and serve hot.
  14. Note1: Add finely chopped green chillies along with onions, ginger &garlic, if u like it very spicy.
  15. Note2: If you prefer to use basmati rice, do not mind the water ratio given and cook following whichever process u know to get rice seperately without sticking.
  16. Note3: I used Indian traditional appam pan to fry the manchurian balls, good thing about this is it reduces the oil needed.
