  2. Prepare 1 Onion1 Carrot
  3. Prepare 1/4 (about 300g) Wombok (Chinese Cabbage)

  6. Get 4 Eggs
  7. Get 1 tablespoon Oil
  8. Get 4-5 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  9. Make ready 2 tablespoons Mirin
  10. Get 2 tablespoons Sugar
  11. Take 1/2 cup Dashi StockOR Water
  12. Prepare 4 servings Cooked Rice

Luckily I stumbled across it while I was looking for parking, and ended up parking at Tanjong Pagar Plaza itself. When we say Japanese beef bowl, the first restaurant that probably comes to our mind is Yoshinoya. The chef cooks the dish right in front of you. Wanted to try this Keisuke concept since it opened, and so glad I finally managed to pop down!

Steps to make Sukiyaki Don:
  1. Slice Onion and Carrot. Cut Wombok about 2cm.
  2. Heat Oil in a large frying pan cook Beef Mince. When the Beef starts to change colour, add vegetables and cook for a few minutes.
  3. Add Dashi (OR Water), Sugar, Mirin and Soy Sauce and let everything cook in the sauce.
  4. When the vegetables are soft, crack and place the Eggs apart from each other onto the mixture and let them half cooked.
  5. Half fill a bowl with freshly Cooked Rice and cover with the Sukiyaki mixture with one Egg each.

We have a favorite restaurant that serves beef sukiyaki and this came pretty close!! It was excellent, I would just make a couple of minor changes next time. I thought it was very tofu heavy and light on meat so I would cut tofu in half and double up on the steak.
