  2. Meanwhile boil the macaroni and keep aside.
  3. Make the tomato sauce (blend the 9-10 tomatoes and half onion. add salt and red chilli flakes according to taste and cook on medium low flame. Add 1/2 cup water and cook for 5 minutes)
  4. Now in a big pot/ wok add oil and spices and sauté for 30 seconds. Then add water, rice and lentil. Cook on medium low flame. When bubbles appear, cover and cook on lowest flame for 7-10 mins.
  5. Meanwhile cut 3-4 onions into slices and deep fry till brown.
  6. Assemble everything in serving dish. Garnish with boiled chickpeas.
