Melt the butter in a pot over medium-high heat. Toast another minute or so to cook out the cumin, then add the stock.   1. Boil lentils to 3/4 cooked, leave remaining water and set aside.
  2. Cut onion into strips, add some flour, mix well. Fry onion, add 1/8 tsp of coriander.. fry until golden brown. Remove from oil and let drain in kitchen tissue paper.
  3. Cook rice. Put pre soaked rice, 2 to 3 cups of water in a pot, add salt and little oil on med heat. When water gone, add drained lentils, cover and cook on low heat. Move the rice once.
  4. Cook pasta according to package.
  5. For the sauce. Cut tomatoes. Put in blender to make juice. Saute garlic with little oil. Add tomato juice, cumin, corriander, black pepper, vinegar, tomato paste, chilli powder. Add 1 cup water. Salt. Simmer.
