Steps to make Sorakka/ Lauki/ Bottlegourd kootu:
  1. Pressure cook split butterbeans dhal for 1 whistle. Set aside.
  2. Heat oil add mustard seeds after it cracks then add urad dhal and chanadhal fry till golden brown.
  3. Add curry leaves, green chillies and onions. Saute till golden brown. Now add the chopped bottlegourd. Mix well and cook.
  4. Add the dhal, coconut and coriander leaves. Simmer till the water content evaporates.
