Hey everyone, I hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, I will show you a way to make a distinctive dish, scones. One of my favorites. This time, I will make it a little bit tasty. This will be really delicious.

Scones is one of the most favored of recent trending meals in the world. It’s enjoyed by millions daily. It’s simple, it’s fast, it tastes delicious. They are nice and they look wonderful. Scones is something that I have loved my whole life.

Follow the recipe for Simple Scones, adding a generous teaspoon of finely grated orange rind (zest) to the dry ingredients and substituting dried cranberries for the raisins. Lemon-Blueberry Scones I go on vacation with my best friend to Michigan every July. Her cousin is allowed to come, too—but only if she brings her special cherry scones!

To get started with this recipe, we have to prepare a few ingredients. You can have scones using 6 ingredients and 6 steps. Here is how you can achieve it.

The ingredients needed to make Scones:
  1. Prepare 2 eggs beated
  2. Make ready 150 g melted butter
  3. Prepare 4 Cups self raising flour
  4. Make ready 1 teaspoon salt
  5. Make ready 3/4 cup sugar
  6. Prepare 400 ml plain Greek yogurt

Also, I sprinkled brown sugar on top, but these are all personal preferences. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar. English scones are not glazed or frosted, and they are generally spilt open and spread with butter, but sometimes also with clotted cream and jam (yes please!). Our scones tend to be richer and more cake-like, usually made with egg and with heavy cream or buttermilk.

Instructions to make Scones:
  1. Mix butter, eggs, yoghurt and combine well. Combine the dry ingredients together by sifting through a sieve.
  2. Open a well in the flour and pour the liquids, mix well using your hands until combined.
  3. The mixture will remain slightly sticky so turn on a floured surface and spread evenly using a rolling pin.
  4. Roll out until the dough is about 1.5cm thick.Cut out the dough using a cookie cutter into even circles.
  5. Place flat on a greased pan. Brush the top of scones with milk just slightly ensuring the milk only covers the top of the scones.
  6. Bake at 190°C for 10-15 minutes until golden brown.

Bear in mind, though, that British cooks can make better scones than this WITHOUT any leavening and with no sugar. Scones are not the blobs of cheap bread dough shaped in a triangle and liberally dosed with sugar that Americans think they are (present recipe excluded, of course). A scone (/ s k ɒ n / or / s k oʊ n /) is a baked good, usually made of wheat, or oatmeal with baking powder as a leavening agent and baked on sheet pans. A scone is often slightly sweetened and occasionally glazed with egg wash. The scone is a basic component of the cream tea.
