This halwa/sheera is made from boiled, mashed sweet potatoes, milk, and sugar. It is flavored with cardamom and nutmeg powder. Sweet potatoes are known as Shakarkand in Hindi hence It is called shakarkandi ka halwa. Steps to make Sweet Potato Halwa:
  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and steam for a few minutes.
  2. Remove skin and roughly mash
  3. Now take a non Stick pan and put and take Ghee and put mashed potatoes and malai.
  4. Roast for 5 minutes.
  5. Now add Sugar and Milk.
  6. Stir in a high flame.
  7. Once it thickens add Saffron dissolved in milk to it.
  8. Mix it nicely and add Chopped dry fruits till it thickens and leaves pan.Add Elaichi Powder and mix it.
  9. Now it's ready.
  10. Garnish with dry fruits.
