- Take 1 cup Chana lentils soaked
- Take 1/2 cup bottle gourd/Lauki chopped

- Get 1/4 tsp turmeric powder

- Make ready 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- Prepare 1 bay leaf
- Make ready 1" cinnamon
- Make ready 2 cloves
- Take 4-5 whole black pepper
- Get 1 lemon juice
- Make ready 1 pinch sugar
- Prepare 1 tbsp+ 1tsp clarified butter/desi ghee
- Take 1/2 tbsp butter
- Get 2 cup Water or as needed
Steps to make Chana lentils with Bottle Gourd:
- Take pressure cooker put chana lentils & bottle gourd. Add ginger, green chilli, salt, turmeric powder, gram masala and 2 cup of water. Mix well, close the lid and cook on high flame until one whistle. Turn the flame on medium heat,get three whistle. Turn off the gas. Open the lid after 5 minutes.
- Take a wok heat on medium flame add 1 tbsp desi ghee, combine all ingredients bay leaf, cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds, whole black pepper & asafoetodia then it cracked add red chilli powder, tomato and sugar mix well on low flame. Stir continuously and cook until turns in mushy. Add in cooked chana dal. Saute and cook for one minute. Mix butter & turn off the heat.
- Take a tadka pan heat on low flame put one tsp desi ghee add 1/4 red chilli powder stir 10 seconds on heat. Red chilli ghee is ready for garnishing. Turn off the heat.
- Now, pour the Chana lentils in serving bowl. Mix the lemon juice and garnish with red chilli ghee and coriander leaves.
