- Heat oil in a deep pan. Add onion and fry till brown. Add bottle gourd and potato. Fry for some time. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, salt, ground masala paste and saute for a while. Then add water, cover and allow it to cook for 15 minutes on a medium heat.
