- In a kadai heat oil add mustard seeds, pinch asaofetida, dried chilli, curry leaves onion saute for a minute add ginger garlic paste saute few seconds add coriander powder, red chilli powder, add tomato and tamarind extract cook 2-3 minutes.
- Now add in whisked dal also add 11/2 cup water and adjust consistency, add 1 tbsp of sambhar powder mix well cook for 5 minutes heat off.
- Seve with idli or vada.
