- Take 250 ml milk (1 cup)
- Make ready 5 ml lemon juice (1/2 tsp.)
- Get 2 ml salt (1/4 tsp.)
- Take f.g. pepper
Combine salmon, reserved liquid, bread crumbs, onion, milk, eggs, parsley, lemon juice, dill weed and black pepper. For topping: Mix enough butter in with the Ritz crackers to moisten. Mix yolks with mushroom soup, and add to salmon. Then add pepper, oatmeal and lemon juice and onion and mix well.
Steps to make Salmon Loaf:
- Remove the skin from the fish if desired; crush the soft bones and mix with the oil and flaked salmon.
- Mix all the ingredients in a bowl.
- Place in a greased loaf tin and dot with butter. Bake at 180°C/350°F until firm and brown, about 45 minutes.
Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into salmon mixture. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. For Salmon Patties: Prepare salmon mixture as above. I made this perfect salmon loaf with Chicken of the Sea Pink Salmon. It turned out lovely and tastes great.
