The ingredients needed to make Sooji Handvo:
- Take 1 Cup Sooji/ Semolina
- Take 1/2 Cup Curd
- Prepare 1/4 Cup Onion
- Get 1/4 Cup Carrots
- Take 1/4 Cup French beans
- Make ready 1/4 Cup Capsicum
- Get 1/4 Cup Tomatoes
- Get 1/4 Cup Coriander leaves
- Get 1/4 tsp dried fenugreek leaves
- Make ready 1/2 tsp baking soda
- Get 1/2 tspGingerGarlic paste
- Take 1 tsp Chilli flakes
- Get 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
- Get 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
- Prepare 1/2 tsp jeera seeds
- Prepare 1/2 tsp sesame seeds
- Make ready Salt as preferred
- Get 2-3 tsp Cooking oil
Now, carefully take the Sooji cake onto a spatula and flip it to the other side. Rava handvo makes for a great breakfast and a light dinner as well. It can be paired with any dip of your choice. I like to serve it with mint-coriander chutney and ketchup.
Steps to make Sooji Handvo:
- Take a big bowl add Semolina and curd mix well and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes add ginger and Garlic paste, Salt, Garam Masala, coriander powder, Red chilli flakes and Vegetables and small amount of water to blend everything well.
- Add 1/2 tsp of baking powder and keep the bowl closed for not more than 5 minutes.
- Heat oil in a non stick skillet add 1 tsp Mustard seeds, sesame seeds and brown jeera seeds when they start to crackle add the Rava Handvo mix.
- Keep the stove on medium flame and close the lid for 10 minutes then gently take the Rava Handvo to a plate then slowly place the uncooked side to the after add oil to it skillet.
- Cook the other side for 7 minutes keep a lid of the skillet.
- By this time your delicious Rava Handvo will be ready You can either make it as Utappam or as vegetable cake.
