- Wash the cauliflower and green peas. Steam it in a rice cooker or steamer and set aside.
- Heat mustard oil in a cooking pan. When hot, add cumin seeds and let it sizzle. Add asafoetida.
- Add the sliced garlic, green chillies and curry leaves and saute it for a minute or two.
- Add turmeric powder, salt and kitchen king masala and saute for 30 seconds.
- Add the steamed green peas and cauliflower and saute for few minutes.
- Ready to serve.
Common spice powders, onions and coriander also do their bit in enhancing this dry subzi. Serve the Masala Cauliflower and Green Peas Subzi with rotis or parathas. Drain the salt water from the cauliflower florets and add the florets to the onion tomato mixture. Check if the veggies are done. Garnish with cilantro and cook for couple of minutes.
