My Shepherds Pie

Hello everybody, hope you are having an incredible day today. Today, I’m gonna show you how to prepare a special dish, my shepherds pie. It is one of my favorites food recipes. For mine, I’m gonna make it a little bit unique. This will be really delicious.

These shepherd's pie recipes run the range from the traditional (featuring ground or minced lamb) to the modestly modified (ground beef instead of lamb) to the more modern and experimental (vegan or paleo shepherd's pies). You can't go wrong with any of these savory one-pot comfort-food casseroles, complete meals that also feature veggies, a savory gravy, and a mashed potato (or a surprise. This is a traditional-style shepherd's pie like my Mum used to make, but completely vegan.

To begin with this recipe, we must first prepare a few components. You can have my shepherds pie using 8 ingredients and 9 steps. Here is how you can achieve that.

The ingredients needed to make My Shepherds Pie:
  1. Prepare 10 3/4 can cream of mushroom soup
  2. Take 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)

There's a reason this comfort dish has remained a classic Southern staple. I add chopped onions and shredded carrots about half way through browning. I called this recipe Shepherd's Pie. But, I wrote the recipe so that you could use ground beef or ground lamb.

Steps to make My Shepherds Pie:
  1. brown / cook the ground beef and onion together, then drain the grease and return to pan
  2. add the garlic powder, salt, pepper, and can of mushroom soup to the ground beef and mix until heated
  3. make the mashed potatoes as directed on pouch or box (serving for 4-6)
  4. spoon the meat / soup mixture into the bottom of a casserole dish
  5. pour the drained can of corn onto the meat mixture
  6. spoon the mashed potatoes on top of the corn and meat
  7. cover with cheese (I didn't advise how much because it depends on how much and what type you like.)
  8. bake at 375°F for 20 minutes or until cheese is thoroughly melted and browned or bubbly but not burned
  9. enjoy!

I typically use ground beef because it is widely available. But, for a special occasion, like St. Patricks day, I would use ground lamb. So, this is how you spell it: Shepherd's Pie. But, from doing a quick google search, it came to my attention that TONS of people think it's Shepards Pie.
