  2. Take 50 gms Ghee
  3. Make ready 10 gms Ajwain

  5. Prepare 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  7. Get 250 gms boiled potatoes (diced)
  8. Prepare 40 gms peanuts (boiled/soaked and peeled)
  9. Take 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  10. Prepare 1-2 green chillies
  11. Get 20 gms coriander leaves
  12. Make ready 10 gms coriander seeds (roasted)
  13. Get 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  14. Get 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  15. Prepare 20 ml oil

Samosas were my gateway into Indian food back in my college days. They're crispy handheld puffs stuffed with spicy potatoes, peas, and onions — a plate of them is an appetizer to share with friends, two or three of them make an excellent lunch to eat on the way to class. I've recently become obsessed with making an easy, baked version of these traditional. I love eating samosas except I can't bring myself to deep frying them, so I'm always looking for ways to serve them.

Steps to make Baked Samosa Candy:
  1. Mix the flour, ajwain, salt in a bowl. Add ghee and rub in the flour to get a breadcrumb like consistency. The whole mixture should lump together when gathered.
  2. Add water little by little and knead to stiff dough. Cover the dough with a moistened napkin and keep aside for 30 minutes. In a mixer add coriander leaves, roasted coriander seeds, chilli's and grind them together.
  3. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and curry leaves. Add grinded masala and ginger garlic paste. Add potatoes, peanuts, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt. Mix well.
  4. Divide the dough into round portions. Roll each portion of dough into a circle. On one side add potato mixture. Make little cuts on the other side. Add some water on the edge of the dough and seal it completely like candy.
  5. Repeat with the rest. Preheat air fryer at 180°c for 4 minutes. Lightly coat the fryer basket with oil. Keep the samosas in the basket and lightly brush with oil. Air fry at 180°c for 20 minutes or till crisp and golden.
  6. Serve samosas hot!!!!!with chutney….!!!!
