The ingredients needed to make Black grapes-Black currant icecream:
  1. Take 150 gms Black grapes
  2. Prepare 1 tsp vanilla essence
  3. Take 1 tbsp Black currant or raisins
  4. Prepare 1/2 litre milk
  5. Prepare 1/2 Cup fresh cream
  6. Get 4 tbsp +2 tbsp sugar
  7. Get 1 tbsp corn flour
  8. Take 2-3 Black Raisins to garnish

Luckily i had purple food colour on hand so added that and made this. It was delicious, it had deep black currant flavor. This tasted very different from the store bought ones. Blend the black currants with ½ cup water in a mixer to a coarse paste.

Instructions to make Black grapes-Black currant icecream:
  1. First of all, take 4 tbsp milk in a bowl and Soak Raisins in it for 15-20 mins. In another bowl take cornflour and mix 2 tbsp milk to make it's slurry. Keep 2-3 Black grapes aside and Chop rest each into half. Take Chopped grapes in a pan, add 1 cup water and 2 tbsp sugar. Mix and let it cook on low flame for 5-7 min till soft.off the flame and let it cool.
  2. On another gas heat remaining milk in a pan. Add 4 tbsp sugar. Stir well on medium flame till sugar dissolves. When it starts boiling, make the flame low and allow it to boil on low flame.when milk reduces to almost half, add cornflour slurry and stir till it mix well and milk becomes thicker.off the flame. In a blender jar add grapes mixture and Soaked Raisins milk mixture and blend till fine mixture is formed. Strain it through a strainer.
  3. In the milk mixture add vanilla essence and mix well.When it cools, add fresh cream and grape mixture and blend it till smooth.
  4. Take out the ice cream mixture in a bowl. It gives a very nice purple colour. Pour this mixture in an airtight container and keep in the freezer for 6 hours till it sets hard. After that take it out, break into pieces, again put in a blender jar and whip nicely till soft and fluffy.or beat with an electric beater. Pour the mixture in the same container, keep in the freezer for 8 hours.
  5. After 8 hours, Black grapes icecream is ready.Serve in icecream Cups and garnish with chopped grapes pieces and Serve.

How to make Black Currant Syrup. Fresh black currants (from the bush or Farmer's Market) can be used just as well as frozen berries. Since I made this entire currant ice cream recipe without any refined sugar, I used agave nectar for cooking the berries into a syrup and also in the mixture for the ice cream base. I like texture in my foods, so I cooked the black currant berries until some. The combination of sweet & tangy is perfect and makes this black currant ice cream refreshing and delicious at the same time.
