- Make ready 1 cup Besan (gram flour)
- Get 1/3 cup bottle gourd Peeled and grated (lauki)
- Get 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
- Prepare 1 tsp Ginger green chilli - paste
- Make ready 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- Prepare 1/2 tsp masala Chat
- Prepare 1.5 cups Oil for deep frying
- Get 3 tbsps All purpose flour
Steps to make Lauki Pakoda:
- Squeeze grated bottle gourd between palms and remove some water content
- Take a pan, add all batter ingredients
- Mix it well, make it medium soft dough like consistency. Add little water if needed. Note that bottle gourd will also release some water so mix ingredients well first then decide whether you need to add water or not
- Keep oil for frying on medium heat
- Meanwhile, divide dough in 12 balls and flattern them. Call each flattern ball as pakoda
- Take a dish with all purpose flour, roll each pakoda and put it in oil for frying when oil is warm
- You can fry more than one pakoda at a time depending on the size of your frying vessel
- Fry it until outer surface is dark red.
- Lauki pakoda are ready, serve it hot with tomato ketchup or green chutney
